Alex Dresner is the CEO of Imagen. Prior to co-founding Imagen, Alex worked as the Head of the Hospital for Special Surgery’s Value Analytics and Management Office. Alex began his career at Bridgewater Associates, where he was a member of the Core Management Team. Alex received his bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Aaron Senior is the Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer at Imagen, where he is responsible for overseeing our strategic partnerships with some of the largest healthcare organizations in the US. Prior to joining Imagen, Aaron was an associate partner at McKinsey & Company, where he worked with investors, governments, payors, digital health, and healthcare service companies on a wide range of topics, including strategy, M&A, commercial transformation, and value-based care. Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

April McKenna is the VP of Care Delivery Operations at Imagen. Prior to joining Imagen, April spent 17 years working in radiology for a large radiology practice in Spokane, Washington. She has had a diverse career in all aspects of a radiology practice. Over the last 10 years, her focus has been on optimization and innovation within radiology workflows to gain operational efficiencies. April received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University.

Everson Ladson serves as Head of Legal at Imagen, overseeing all legal and compliance functions. Everson’s experience prior to joining Imagen includes serving as counsel for corporate transactions and business affairs at Compass, several years in private legal practice at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and working as an associate at JPMorgan. Everson holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Howard University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

Howard Kessler, MD, is the Head of Medical Group at Imagen. Prior to joining Imagen, Dr. Kessler was a radiologist and, prior to that, Chairman of Radiology at CarePoint Health System. He is a former Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Fox Chase Medical Center. He has extensive experience in quality assurance and performance improvement, having served as Medical Director for Radiology at a regional insurance company. He has also served as a business consultant to various radiology practices and been involved as a shareholder or managing partner in numerous companies and practices, including Radiology Reimbursement Solutions (1999-2010) and New Jersey Imaging Associates (2008–2014). He attended medical school at Ohio State University; interned at Riverside Methodist Hospital; completed his residency at University of Pennsylvania Department of Radiology, where he was Chief Resident; and completed a fellowship in gastrointestinal radiology at University Hospital, Lund, Sweden.

Jason Arvanites is the Chief Clinical Operations Officer at Imagen. Prior to joining Imagen, Jason was VP of Operations at Via, leading various growth and operations team and helping the company scale from ~100 to ~1,500 employees. Jason received his MBA from Yale School of Management and his BA from the University of Chicago.

Jonathan Lee is the SVP, Engineering at Imagen. Prior to joining Imagen, Jonathan worked at Rally Health, eventually a part of United Healthcare, building healthcare products for over six years. Jonathan has also worked at American Institutes for Research, building products in the education space as well as consulting at IBM. Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Kim Gerdeman is the VP of Clinical Services at Imagen. Previously, she was Solutions Management Director at Virtual Radiology where she was responsible for developing and overseeing teleradiology services. Kim has over 20 years of experience working in various aspects of healthcare and has extensive experience in radiology systems, workflows, integrations, operations, and product/services management. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Rebecca Jones, PhD, is VP of Medical Services at Imagen. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neuroscience in the Psychiatry Department at Weill Cornell Medicine. She has a PhD in neuroscience from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, a Master of Philosophy in psychiatry from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University. Dr. Jones joined Imagen after directing a lab at Weill Cornell that studied various aspects of human social behavior using a range of techniques, including wearable mobile technologies, functional MRI, and behavioral methods.

Dr. Jones has received numerous awards, honors, and competitive grant funding for her research. She has an extensive publication record and has published in high-impact journals such as Science, Nature Communications, and the Journal of Neuroscience.

Rob Lindsey, PhD, is the Co-Founder & Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at Imagen. He graduated summa cum laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with bachelor’s degrees in computer science and philosophy. Dr. Lindsey co-founded Imagen after receiving his PhD in computer science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr. Lindsey’s research focused on combining statistical machine learning techniques with psychological modeling in order to predict and optimize human behavior. He has worked in the defense industry developing deep-learning methods for projects including biometric security, satellite imagery analysis, and LIDAR analysis. He is an accomplished researcher and lecturer publishing in top-tier venues, which span scientific fields such as machine learning, natural language processing, statistics, psychology, education, and cognitive science.

Ryan Wall is the SVP, Finance at Imagen, overseeing all strategic finance and analytics, business operations, FP&A, and commercial finance for the business. Prior to Imagen, Ryan worked in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) investment banking at Credit Suisse. Before that, Ryan worked as an applications sales engineer for Linde. He received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and his Master of Business Administration at NYU Stern School of Business.

Sarah Gourgoulianis is the Head of Quality and has over nine years of experience working with Class I, II, and III SaMD and IVD medical devices. Before joining Imagen, she worked in quality at both Philips and Becton Dickinson (BD), where she acquired expertise in medical device requirements and standards all across the globe, including US Title 21CFR820, Health Canada, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, IEC 82304, Regulation (EU) 2017/745, Anvisa, PMDA, and ARGMD. Prior to obtaining her Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and her PMP certification, Sarah served six years as a corpsman in the US Navy.

Scott Howell, MD, was an executive medical director at Heritage Provider Network, a fully delegated medical group, for business development, enterprise-wide clinical solutions, and health systems research.

Previously, Dr. Howell was the National Senior Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for Network and Population Health at OptumInsight responsible for risk adjustment, quality performance, network analytics, predictive modeling, clinical consulting, and acquisition due diligence.

Prior to OptumInsight, Dr. Howell was the Regional Chief Medical Officer (RCMO) for the Northeast Region of Americhoice, Inc., focusing on the Medicaid and Dual SNPs populations.

Prior to United Healthcare, Dr. Howell was the Medical Director for Managed Care at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the first HIV SNP in the nation, along with taking responsibility for international consulting in Russia, Ukraine, Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti. Dr. Howell was the lead scientific advisor to Management Sciences for Health, the prime contractor for PEPFAR in Haiti.

Dr. Howell is board certified in Family Practice, Preventative Medicine and Public Health, and Addiction Medicine. He has been in medicine for over 25 years.

In addition, Dr. Howell has a master’s in economics from the University of Miami, master’s in public health and tropical medicine (MPH&TM) from Tulane University, a master’s in business administration (MBA) from California State University, Fresno, and is certified by the American College of Physician Executives as a Certified Physician Executive (CPE).

Dr. Howell has served in the military for 25 years, and his current reserve assignment is with the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) at the Department of Defense Inspector General (DoDIG), concentrating on the Wounded Warrior Program, BioAssurity, and Ebola Outbreak Assessment.

Serge Sicular, MD, is the current Director of Emergency Imaging at the Mount Sinai Health System, overseeing the imaging from the emergency rooms at the Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai Queens, Beth Israel, Kings Highway, St. Luke’s, and Mount Sinai West hospitals in New York City. He is also an assistant professor and course director at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is a graduate of the Sackler Medical School in Tel Aviv with honors. He completed his internship at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center and completed his residency in radiology at Mount Sinai, where he also served as president of the Mount Sinai housestaff and was on the medical board and administrative executive committee for the hospital.

Shane Giuliani serves as Chief Customer Officer at Imagen. Prior to Imagen, Shane led commercial efforts at WithMe Health after spending the bulk of his career with Monitor Deloitte, overseeing strategy programs for healthcare clients. He earned his Master of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and his bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University.

Richard Zemel, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. Dr. Zemel is a Co-Founder and Director of Research at the new Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence. His research interests include generative models of images and text, attention, and fairness. He received a Bachelor of Arts at Harvard University in the Department of History and Science, received a Master of Science at the University of Toronto in computer science, and a PhD in computer science at the University of Toronto.

Rob Fergus, PhD, is an associate professor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. Dr. Fergus’s interests are in the areas of machine learning and computer vision, but he is particularly interested in applying deep learning methods to object recognition. Dr. Fergus also works on low-level vision problems, with applications to computational photography and astronomy. He received a Bachelors of Arts and a Master of Engineering in electrical and information engineering from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Oxford.

Serge Belongie, PhD, is a professor at Cornell Tech in the Cornell Computer Science Department. Sloan Research Fellowship, and the MIT Technology Review “Innovators Under 35” Award. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, crowdsourcing, and human-in-the-loop computing. Yann LeCun, PhD, is a Vice President and Chief AI Scientist at Facebook. He is also a Silver Professor of Data Science, Computer Science, Neural Science, and Electrical Engineering at New York University, affiliated with the NYU Center for Data Science, the Courant Institute of Mathematical Science, the Center for Neural Science, and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Dr. LeCun was the Founding Director of the NYU Center for Data Science. He is considered a founding father of convolutional networks within AI. David Wellman, MD, holds appointments at both the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he is an assistant professor at the Weill Cornell Medical Center (WCMC). Dr. Wellman completed medical school at the University of North Carolina and went on to complete a residency in orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University. Following his residency, Dr. Wellman completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at HSS. After completing his training at HSS, Dr. Wellman traveled to Germany and Switzerland for further surgical training in the care of trauma patients and pelvic reconstruction.

Douglas Hanel, MD, is a professor in the Department of Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. Dr. Hanel’s clinical interests include hand and wrist problems, including congenital hand problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, and cubital tunnel syndrome; arthritis involving hands, wrists, and elbow; fractures and dislocations of hands and forearms; artery and tendon problems; and complications resulting from earlier treatments. Hollis Potter, MD, is a board-certified radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal MR imaging at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and a co-founder of Imagen. She is the Chair of the Department of Radiology and Imaging at HSS and is the Coleman Chair in MRI Research and Professor of Radiology at the Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC). Dr. Potter completed medical school at the New York Medical College, residency training at North Shore University Hospital, and a fellowship at HSS and New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical College in musculoskeletal radiology. She is an expert in musculoskeletal MR imaging, and her MRI laboratory is actively funded by the NIH NIAMS for translational MRI research.

Jason Nascone, MD, specializes in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic traumatology. He completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and went on to complete a foot and ankle fellowship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, along with an AO fellowship at MGH. He initiated the creation of the Foot and Ankle Service at HSS and is the recipient of a National Institute of Health (NIH) grant on Posterior Tibial Tendon Insufficiency.

Kimberly Amrami, MD, is a board-certified radiologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and serves as a Senior Medical Advisor for Imagen. Additionally, she is the Chair of the Department of Musculoskeletal Radiology and a Professor of Radiology at the Mayo Clinic. She has interests in ultra-high field MRI, wrist imaging, and cartilage imaging. Dr. Amrami completed her medical degree at the University of Minnesota and returned there for her residency in diagnostic radiology. Following her residency, she completed her musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic.

Lawrence Gulotta, MD, is an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), specializing in shoulder surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Gulotta’s interests include arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder. Dr. Gulotta attended Harvard Medical School and then went to HSS, where he trained in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and shoulder surgery. In addition to his training in the US, Dr. Gulotta acquired further training in shoulder surgery at specialized centers across Europe. He completed an AO Shoulder Trauma Fellowship in Bern, Switzerland. He has also observed leading shoulder surgeons in Zurich, Switzerland, and Lyon, France.

Manickam Kumaravel, MD, is the Director of the Musculoskeletal Division, Director of Outpatient Imaging, and Director of Sports, Orthopedics and Emergency Imaging at Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center. He completed orthopedic and trauma residency and surgical specialties in Great Britain, with surgical board certification by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr. Kumaravel is also a team physician for the NFL’s Houston Texans.

Matthew Roberts, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and specializes in the repair of foot and ankle injuries as well as the reconstruction of deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, flat feet, and high-arched feet. Dr. Roberts completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and then returned to New York for his general surgery internship at the Weill Cornell Medical Center (WCMC) and orthopedic surgery residency at HSS. He then completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle at the Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington.

Mauricio Silva, MD, is an orthopedic pediatric surgeon and the Medical Director at the Orthopedic Institute for Children in Los Angeles, California (OIC). He was appointed as a clinical professor at OIC and David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Silva received his medical degree and residency in orthopedics and traumatology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, School of Medicine in Bogotá, Colombia. He finished research fellowships in total joint reconstruction and musculoskeletal complications in hemophilia at UCLA. His clinical fellowship was also completed in pediatric orthopedics at UCLA.

Dr. Cross completed his residency at HSS, where he was awarded the Russell Warren Basic Science Research Award and the Jean McDaniel Award, which is given to the chief resident who best demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and ethics in the care of patients. After his residency, Dr. Cross completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center.

Michael Mulligan, MD, is a diagnostic radiologist working at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Hospital System. Robert Hotchkiss, MD, is a practicing hand and upper extremity surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and a co-Founder of Imagen. Seth Jerabek, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and a specialist in joint-preserving procedures, joint replacement, and complex-revision joint replacement. Thomas Higgins, MD, is an orthopedic trauma surgeon at the University Orthopedic Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ying Li, MD, is an associate professor and pediatric orthopedic surgeon at the University of Michigan.
